Winter contributes to increase Oud & oriental perfumes sales, by a rate exceeded 13% according to a report provided by Arabian Oud research and development department, which confirmed that Oud & oriatal perfumes sales increased by winter. Oud related companies and exhibitions witnessed an increase in sales as a result to winter, and the Arabian Oud report said “sales of Oud and oriental perfumes witnessing a remarkable recovery during winter season where families & friends use it as gifts because of its long-term fragrance, especially in times like these”.

The report predicts that sales will rise in the winter of this year between 13-15%. And the report ascribed the reasons of the demand on the Oud in winter, as it has the beautiful smell that spread in the air, and bestow upon the place more refreshment, spirituality and fascinating natural aroma lasts for long unlike other incenses and perfumes, also the winter contributes to the continuity and durability of the smell for a longer period, compared to other seasons in the year. Oud considered as the most precious gifts that presented in cozy occasions and for different segments of society. The report pointed out that the use of Oud and oriental perfumes in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region is an integral part of the citizen's personality who is committed to his heritage and authentic customs, also Oud considered as an icon in the local & Gulf communities’ culture, the study suggested to a correlation between the use of oriental perfumes and religious rites, where it used frequently in religious ceremonies, festivals, weddings and cozy events. The report added that “Oud reflects the honor aspects with guest appearances and celebration during the visit. There are many people whom hold a special standing for Oud, where it’s connected to their culture, religious rites, customs or traditions”.

The report mentioned the importance of Oud in addition to its beautiful fragrance and association with people heritage and culture, because Oud goes back to thousands of years ago, so it is impossible to be grown again or to find its seeds at all, it’s a miracle folded pages.

And added, that Oud tree grows in the humid tropics and rainforest, and it’s native goes to some of the world's dense forests, especially in the peninsula of India and Southeast Asia, where thousands of years ago trees grew very large and called Oud trees, the specifications of these trees combine with other trees in the shape, but it differ in the internal structure somewhat.
